How to Make Playable End Cards

A step-by-step guide to creating playable end cards and interactive end cards for video ads—with no coding. Use a free playable end card maker to build HTML5 creatives for Unity, Google, Meta, TikTok, and more.

What You Need

To make playable end cards you need a playable end card generator or interactive end card creator that exports HTML5. You don’t need to code: a no-code playable ad builder lets you drag and drop text, images, buttons, and animations, then export one file per ad network.

  • A playable end card maker (e.g. Playable End Card Maker)
  • App store links (iOS and Android) for your CTA button
  • Assets: logo, background image, button style (or use built-in templates)

Step 1: Open the Playable End Card Editor

Go to the playable end card editor. You can start from a blank canvas or a playable end card template. Choose a viewport size (e.g. 375×667 for mobile) and switch between portrait and landscape to design for both orientations.

Step 2: Add Background, Text, and CTA Button

Add a background (color or image), a headline or short text, and a button that will link to your app store. The button URL is set once in the export step (iOS App Store URL and Android Google Play URL); the exported HTML5 will send users to the right store by device. This is the core of your video end card and interactive end card creative.

Step 3: Add Animations (Optional)

Use the Animation tab to add entrance effects (fade, slide, bounce, etc.) to text or the button. Keep animations short and clear so the CTA end card stays readable. Preview with the Play button before exporting.

Step 4: Export for Your Ad Networks

Click Export, enter your iOS and Android app URLs, and select the ad networks you use (Unity, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, IronSource, AppLovin, Mintegral, Moloco, etc.). The tool outputs HTML5 that meets each network’s requirements (e.g. single HTML or ZIP, file size under 5MB). Use “Compress assets” if you’re over the recommended size. Download the file(s) and upload them in your ad network’s dashboard.

Best Practices for Playable End Cards

  • One clear CTA—e.g. “Download” or “Play now”—so the interactive end card has a single goal.
  • Keep file size low—aim for 1.5–2 MB for fast loads; stay under 5 MB (required by networks).
  • Test on real devices in both portrait and landscape.
  • Match the look and message of your video ad so the playable end card feels like a natural next step.
